It's time to check your Breasts.
October 31st, 2022
Hey babe ! We know breast cancer can be a daunting subject but with 1 in 8 women being diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime it is important to look out for the signs. Checking your breasts is a must, and we are here to help you by making sure you regularly check and are able to detect any early signs. It is important to know and understand our bodies !
How to know what you're looking for…
A typical cancerous lump may feel rounded, soft and tender and can occur anywhere in the breast. In some cases, the lump can even be painful. Some women also have dense, fibrous breast tissue.
However it's important to know that not all lumps turn out to be cancerous so there's no need to worry too much, we recommend checking with a doctor to know for sure.
So how do we check this…
- Feel around the breast in a circular motion
- Then feel under your arm
- Finally, feel behind the nipple
To make it easier for you, do this routine in a comfortable place, maybe whilst having a self care night or even whilst you scroll through your socials. Whatever works best for you.
